Optimized Schedules and Labor

LSI recognizes there may be actual physical and structural constraints limiting the Workforce Management system's ability to produce fully optimized schedules. This could be due to many factors including existing staff contracts, skill levels, start/finish times and the mix between full and part time labor. Using LSI's Strategic Scheduling service and the data held in the Workforce Management system, the effect of these structural constraints can be examined to see how they individually compromise performance. The resulting recommendations may just require a new training program to increase in the availability of multi-skilled personnel who have greater flexibility in the store or could be more strategic in nature, requiring a change in working practices or the make up of the labor force. Either way LSI will work with both Store Operations and HR to determine what changes need to be made and how they can be implemented using for example a new 'recruit to replace' plan.
