WorkPlace workforce management software is built around a comprehensive corporate Operating Model, which holds key information such as Labor Standards, Store Profiles, Trading Data and Volume Drivers is integrated with LSI's RetailEase and ProfileManager and comprises the following main integrated modules:
Forecasting Module - using information held in the operating model, this module produces a forecast of workload demand for a trading period.
Scheduling Module - against the forecast workload demand, this module produces optimum schedules using either a manual, computer assisted or fully automated process.
Time & Attendance Module - tracks and reports on the actual attendance of staff against the planned schedule and provides a feed directly into payroll.

Task Management accommodates the requirements for additional work such as range changes, seasonal moves, promotions, or product recalls that are specified by head office. If these activities are not included in the Workload Demand, a less than optimized schedule will be produced. Task Management recognizes the work already planned in each store and builds a task list personalized for each store which together with the Scheduling Module allocates the right person to perform the tasks at the right time. PDAs are used to communicate the precise task requirements and real-time progress through the task to ensure compliance to centrally derived projects.
Task Management together with Scheduling, offers a Retailer the complete picture of all work required at store level, irrespective of its origin.
This module will be available in 2008.
